Palmento Costanzo is a family-owned estate rooted in the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, where steep terraces and well-drained volcanic soils form the backbone of a terroir that yields wines of striking mineral purity and energy. Led by Valeria Costanzo and her daughter Serena, alongside a dedicated team including Sicilian winemaker Nicola Centonze, the estate has invested deeply in site restoration while maintaining a commitment to organic farming and sustainable viticulture certified by Equalitas, ensuring biodiversity, soil health and environmental stewardship across every parcel. The vineyards, planted mainly to indigenous varieties such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Catarratto, benefit from altitudes between approximately 600–800 m and cooling mountain breezes that preserve natural acidity and aromatic definition.

Among its notable wines, the Palmento Costanzo Nero di Sei DOC Etna Rosso, from old vines and fermented with native yeasts, has earned critical praise — including a 95-point score from Kerin O’Keefe in its 2020 release — highlighting its elegant balance of ripe wild berry, spice and saline minerality that speaks clearly of its volcanic origin. The Contrada Santo Spirito Rosso DOC Etna, drawn from one of the oldest sub-zones on Etna’s northern slopes, and the Mofete Bianco DOC Etna, a Carricante-Catarratto white, complete a range that blends traditional Etna viticulture with modern precision.
