COUNTRY: SOUTH AFRICA

REGION: ROBERTSON

FEATURES: VVG

Bon Courage Estate traces its roots to 1927, when the Bruwer family acquired the farm formerly known as Goedemoed and later renamed it Bon Courage in honour of their French heritage. Nestled in Robertson Wine Valley — a region shaped by the Breede River and flanked by the Langeberg and Riviersonderend mountains — the estate’s vineyards benefit from alluvial and calcareous soils with excellent drainage, long sunshine hours and cool night breezes that preserve acidity. Three generations of winemakers have combined traditional Cape Dutch vinification and modern cellar techniques to make crisp whites, elegant reds, fortified wines and classic Methode Cap Classique. Bon Courage’s terroir-focused approach underlines balanced ripeness and varietal definition across Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
