Savian
COUNTRY: ITALY
REGION: VENETO
SUB-REGION: LISON
Savian Vini is a longstanding family-owned estate in the Veneto, where generations of dedication to the land have shaped a diversified and terroir-driven portfolio rooted in organic farming and sustainable viticulture. Established in 1925 near Loncon di Annone between the Livenza and Tagliamento rivers, the estate’s vineyards spread across calcareous clay soils that combine excellent drainage with moderate fertility, imparting balance, textural precision and regional character to its wines. Savian was ahead of its time in embracing ecological practices, becoming one of the first certified organic producers in the region in 1993, and all estate vineyards continue to be cultivated without synthetic inputs, with low-intervention winemaking preserving purity of fruit and sense of place.
The estate’s portfolio showcases a refined range of varietals that reflect both Veneto’s variety and Savian’s organic ethos. The Savian Organic Pinot Grigio DOC Venezia offers a harmonious expression of this classic Venetian variety, combining delicate orchard fruit with a clean, sincere profile shaped by soil and climate. From the historic Lison Pramaggiore zone, the Savian Organic Lison Classico DOCG (made from Friulano) reveals the unique identity of its clay-limestone soils with an elegant bouquet and velvety texture, a testament to the area’s long-standing viticultural tradition. A particular favourite is also Savian’s Organic Cabernet Franc DOC Venezia which brings a playful yet structured profile, intense in colour and with persistent herbaceous notes opening into an elegant, balanced palate.
