Founded in 1876 in Málaga by the Barceló family, Bodegas Peñascal relocated in 1973 to Tudela del Duero (Valladolid), within Spain’s continental Castilla y León plateau, a region of extreme diurnal shifts and limestone-rich soils that favour freshness and aromatic precision. Peñascal built its reputation on rosé and semi-sparkling wines, especially its iconic rosado, which has been a leading producer-branded rosé in Spain.
